Three days later, the ecstatic adrenaline surge vanished into thin air and I found myself asking the question, “What’s Next?” on my living room sofa in Shanghai.

There came the emotion of betrayal. What happened to the “climb the corporate ladder and when we arrive, life is finally set”? I didn’t feel set. I was in an autopilot searching for the next big goal. At the same time, I was exhausted, burnt-out. Deep down, I didn’t know for how long I could keep going to the next goal and the next goal and the next…

Then, there came the emotion of shame. I berated myself for not being grateful. I held a position which only a handful of people could have reached on a global scale in the biggest luxury group in the world. How dare me to want more!

Don’t get me wrong. Other than having a promising career, I was the Miss-have-it-all to outsiders.

I wrote traveling articles for online publications;

I trained in the gym at least 4 times a week and was at my best figure and health in my adult life;

I travelled extensively on my holidays and I could afford them easily;

I learned French;

I had loving and supporting colleagues and friends.

Yet, that evening on the sofa, I was utterly baffled. Life should be more than chasing and collecting trophies. I was at a great height and I knew this sense of loss was not because I didn’t achieve. I have been an over-achiever for my whole life.

Then, came the question from the soul, “What have I done to contribute love to the world so far?” I knew the life to take that upward corporate life I’d spent years building was over.

I knew instantly that was not the legacy I wanted to leave behind. I DID believe the possibilities of living a life which left nothing behind.

I had to get out there and created the possibilities for myself and I decided, this would be the way I pass forward love, supporting others to not only achieve but to build their successes into their very own Legacy of Love in this life.

This is the birth of this ME and Legacy Of Love.
