Last year a client SD was doing past and identity integration work to eliminate limiting beliefs so that she could create from flow more and better.
“Where do you feel this came from?” I asked.
At the beginning of the session, she mentioned another notion she carries quite often in her daily life.
Every time this thought came up, she ran away, gave up whatever she said she desired and made up some stories to tell herself that she didn’t want it after all.
“What’s the name of that you?”
She got quiet, felt it out a bit and told me a name.
“Turn within yourself and ask her what she wants from you?”
She started shaking physically and claimed that she didn’t know the answer.
“That’s why you should ask her!”
“But how can I know I am ready to know the answer?”
“You brought it up at the beginning of the session. You are ready.”
We had a couple of rounds debating whether she was ready to go through this integration.
She believed that she needed to know what was going to happen so that she could be ready.
“No one knows what is going to happen next in life! Not with 100% certainty.” I broke it to her.
“But I am so afraid.” Of the unknown.
“Trust me, the most terrifying moment is this very moment you are convinced that you are going to be terrified.
As long as you are willing to turn within even without asking but simply connect with that part of you, everything gets easier. You will realize as many times before, it’s not as scary as you believe!”
“So, I just need to decide that I am ready??”
YES!
She spent some time fumbling around her water bottle, lying on her couch – all distractions she could come up with.
She made the decision (after all, she signed up for this work) to be ready and tuned in.
Long story short, throughout our 12 sessions together, she integrated more than 12 parts of herself.
A couple of months later,
She got out dysfunctional relationship without her usual beating herself up and getting all cynical about life.
(She almost moved country with that man. If so, she wouldn’t have met her current fiancé.)
She got 15%+ salary bump.
(She used to avoid negotiation of salary.)
