I had a real time experience how my mind made something not there into existence.
A couple of days ago, when I met up with my partner at the beach, we decided to drive around in his car to check a couple of surf points before we went in the water.
I moved my board to his car.
There were a lot of driving around, playing with water but we didn’t take our boards out since there were no waves.
When we parted our ways,
“Do you have everything?” (I left my phone in his car earlier that day.)
I checked the bags, my keys, my wallet and nodded with conviction.
I drove home with confidence.
It was late afternoon,
When almost approaching home, I pondered whether it was possible to leave the board in the car till the next morning.
(Leaving the board in a heated car would not be a good idea. But I was feeling lazy and the sun was setting.)
I decided it would be still too warm to keep the board in the car.
I parked the car right next to my house as usual.
I got out of the car and went to the side of my passenger seat. (Yeah, my board is my most frequent passenger.)
I opened the door.
I was literally surprised to find out there was no board in the car.
I was in shock how I could go without noticing it the whole way home, a 20-min drive.
I was even more in shock because I “thought” the board was in the car.
I was so into the thought that the board was right next to me, I failed to “see” the reality.
There have been moments I don’t trust my faith and conviction towards my visions, especially recently.
Nothing is coincidence in life.
The universe took its chance to give me a big lesson.
It felt absolutely crazy and mind-blowing at the same time.
