Did you sort out what and who and where were your partner in Yes?
How about those in No?
If you haven’t done it, I encourage you to carve out 30 mins within the week and give the current Yes and No in your life a thought.
📖 P.S. If you can re-read the insights on NO (here) and YES (here) to regroup yourself and make the next life-changing move for yourself.
If you’ve done it,
“How deep does your Yes or No go?”
Let’s take a look of the Yes.
If I look back to my corporate days and my first 2 years in creating this coaching and healing business,
☑️ The urgent stuff (deadline and last minute)
☑️ The boss’ stuff or those from my collaborators and business partners
☑️ the “it’s part of the job” stuff
These made you feel there was no possibility to say no even some of them (or many) drain you to your core.
Then,
☑️ The kids and spouse stuff (based on my observation, not personal experience)
☑️ House hold stuff (grocery, laundry, car maintenance…)
☑️ The splurge stuff (oh yay! weekend! Binging on whatever I could!)
☑️ The first layer self-care stuff (mani & pedi, hairdo, message…)
If you can reach this low down on this list, please celebrate yourself. I mean it!
And what’s on your No list,
Basically everything outside of work gets a fair share of NO.
Then everything outside of kids and spouse gets next level NO.
What almost always gets NO?
I bet you wouldn’t guess.
They are things you say NO to without be aware of saying NO to.
Your rest, your well-being, your creativity, your curiosity, your growth, your emotions, your perspectives, your values, your future visions, your boundaries…
Yes, I get it. Life is full enough without giving it so much thought.
I am not pretending that I understand. I was once the person who whenever needed a good cry for release or challenging emotions to go through said to herself, “I don’t have time for this.” My depression didn’t build in a day.
Yet, do look over the things I listed out again,
Your rest, your well-being, your creativity, your curiosity, your growth, your emotions, your perspectives, your values, your future visions, your boundaries…
The items on the menu are what make a high-achiever a powerful and impactful leader and have the drive and energy to continue breaking through.
Would you like to say yes to be a powerful and impactful leader in all areas in your life?
Would you like to say yes to constant drive and energy to continue breaking through?
Now, you may feel your are caught in the strife of Yes and No.
Hear my question again.
“How deep do your Yes and No go?”
The secret no one tells you (nor me) is that within each Yes, there is a No and vice versa.
While I was saying Yes to stick to the relationship and ground myself to see the bright side, I denied my own personal power and hid my ambitions for life.
While I said Yes to China, I chose No to my once intense immigration dream.
While I said Yes to my boundaries at work, I needed to get courage to say no to my boss.
Let me phrase my question in another way.
“How far is your Yes or No going to impact into your future?”
You are right. No one can see into the future.
My bad. Let me rephrase again,
“Are they building and leveling you up?”
“Are they keeping you stuck, drained, in envy, in discouragement?”
Now, you may want to sit down and considering it hard and with great love for yourself,
“What builds and levels you up?”
“What keeps you stuck, unsatisfied, envious and discouraged?” (Be aware, those things that make you feel high during and empty after fall into this category.)
Depending where you are in life and your energy in each day,
Watching TV can be a way to level up or draining.
Taking on more projects can be a way to build you up or exhaust you.
🍭🍭 Here’s what I want to leave you with:
Your Yes and your No are not just words. They are energetic agreements. They are quiet architects shaping your inner world—and your outer reality.
This isn’t about being perfect or always making the “right” decision.
It’s about making true ones.
The kind that feel like integrity in your bones. The kind that feel like freedom, even when they’re scary. The kind that feel like love, even when they look like letting go.
Go ahead. Reclaim your Yes. Redeem your No. Let them both become sacred tools for alignment, Not reactions to life, but powerful declarations of who you are becoming.
Your future is being built in the choices you make today.
And YOU are the one holding the blueprint.
Choose like you remember that.
